On June 8, Webster Geneva Campus held two creativity related events in a hybrid (online and offline) modality. These events, organized by the Webster Center of Creativity and Innovation (WCCI), marked the first day of what should have been the Creativity Week, now postponed for 7-11 June, 2021.
The events began with a panel called The Creativity Challenge: How the Pandemic Has Changed Education (available to watch on YouTube here), in which Julianna Sandholm-Bark and Francesco Arese Visconti from Webster Geneva Campus shared their experiences of creative education during the lockdown in relation to art and photography courses. The discussion was moderated by Vlad Glaveanu.
This panel was followed by a livestreamed keynote from Ron Beghetto, Arizona State University, on Uncertainty and Creativity in Times of Crisis (available to watch on YouTube here). The discussion of how uncertainty can be used as a productive state in education and beyond was led by Wendy Ross (Kingston University) and Vlad Glaveanu (Webster Geneva Campus). Webster looks forward to welcoming the speakers and all of you to the Creativity Week in 2021!
